Omani Sheikh visits NTAR
Earlier in February, Gil and Val accompanied Sheikh al Qassim Bin Mohammed Al Harthy, CEO of the Polyglot Institute, on a visit to the National Training Academy for Rail (NTAR) in Northampton. Howarth & Co has been in discussions with Polyglot since they met during Middle East Rail in Dubai in 2015.
They were welcomed to NTAR by General Manager, Simon Rennie. Following a visit around the Siemens Traincare depot, there were presentations on NTAR’s technology which supports the training delivery; Rob Arntsen, Chairman of MyKnowledgeMap gave a presentation on their suite of products including ‘Team Capability’, ‘My Progress’ and ‘My Showcase’ and Andrew Solesbury, Creative Director of Pauley Interactive, gave a presentation on their virtual reality training content.
In January they attended a reception at the British Embassy in Muscat to commemorate the launch of a collaborative initiative between EAL and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers to increase the number of Omani Technicians.
